The model is based on karyotype morphology, rDNA loci localization, and genome size interpreted in a phylogenetic context. 5S rDNA loci are indicated as open circles, and 35S rDNA loci as closed circles. Black arrows indicate more parsimonious hypotheses, empty arrows indicate alternatives.
