  1. Sources of variation include the effects of treatment (stud vs. dud ancestry), individual age (three vs. 15 days post-emergence), and their interaction. Productivity is a composite measure that includes the fecundity and fertility of the parents, and the subsequent viability to emergence of their offspring. Productivity values were squared prior to analysis.
