The Motomiya (F1)-Motomiya (F2) group showed a very small number of surviving adults, and thus, no error bars are shown for this group. These explanations are also applicable to the female graph shown in b. The difference between the Okinawa-Okinawa group and the Koriyama-Koriyama group is statistically significant (p < 0.0001, Student’s t-test). (b) Female forewing size. The difference between the Okinawa-Okinawa group and the Koriyama-Koriyama group is statistically significant (p = 0.0002, Welch’s t-test). (c) Relationship between the cumulative ingested caesium dose in the F1 and F2 generations and the forewing size. For the caesium dose, the total dose of 137Cs and 134Cs was used.
