Estimated age of the Xanthorrhoea crown from three datasets. Estimates are from BEAST with UCLN and RLC clock models in combination with Birth-death and Yule speciation models. DNA substitution models were partitioned (details in text) based on the results of Bayes factor tests for each dataset. Each data point represents the median age estimate for a different combination of data and models and error bars are 95% BCIs. Asterisks mark the best combination of models for each dataset (except monocots), as indicated by Bayes factors. Abbreviation: Xanth = Xanthorrhoeaceae.
