Relative MCFA content in polar and nonpolar lipids extracted from Saccharomyces uvarum and Vanderwaltozyma polyspora. Lipids from S. uvarum (A) and V. polyspora (B) cells grown at 28 °C in complete medium were extracted using Folch method. Polar and nonpolar lipids were then separated using solid-phase extraction. Total lipids and polar and nonpolar fractions were analyzed using gas chromatography. FAME, fatty acid methyl ester.
