The postman and the rayed clades form reciprocally monophyletic lineages, with H. himera clustering with the rayed races, while H. e. cyrbia clusters with the postman races. Within each phenotype, samples cluster by geography. Heliconius himera clusters within H. erato, rather than diverging prior to the H. erato radiation. Red branches indicate rayed lineages.
