The graphs show the Ne of TSA (top) and ACU (bottom) as a function of mutation rate, calculated from the rates of fixation of chromosomal rearrangements for each species using Lande’s 1979 model. Upper and lower curves correspond to the Ne values obtained with adjusted rates using the standard errors calculated for the divergence dates shown in Table 1. s-values correspond to the selection pressure of rearrangements in heterozygotes
