Wing traits measured in all specimens. The photos represent the typical phenotype of males reared at 27 °C (row 1, 3 and 5) and 21 °C (row 2, 4 and 6). Each column represents one species, from left to right: H. iboina, B. anynana, B. safitza, M. mineus and M. perseoides. For each individual, we obtained 17 wing measurements corresponding to four categories of traits: ventral eyespots (1,2,4), ventral bands (3,5), dorsal eyespots (6,7) and wing areas (8,9).
