Stars above specific residues indicate a site thought to be involved in cardenolide resistance and yellow sites are those confirmed to have importance via assays in cell culture. α1A-C are the three gene copies from O. fasciatus, fly = Drosophila melanogaster, pig = Sus scrofa. The pig sequence is included as it was used to determine the structure of this protein
