The yeast and sugar content in the developmental diet has a significant effect on ovariole number. Individuals raised on the developmental diet with low yeast (2.5%) or with high sugar (25%) contents have fewer ovarioles. Data for each population were analysed by one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s HSD test (α = 0.05). Plots marked with different letters are significantly different from each other.
