Note that the sclerites are separated from each other by a small membranous area and almost solely reflect the outline of the coxa. B, C. Gammarus roeselii Gervais, 1835. The limb stem comprises the short coxa (artificially highlighted by shrinking effects during the drying process for SEM) and the elongated tubular basipod (cf. Figure 4A–H). B. Posterior view. C.
