Phylogenetic tree was constructed for the selected chordate hif-1α and hif-2α genes. The phylogenetic tree was constructed using MrBayes with GTR + I (0.0821) + G (1.0813) modes. To search tree space, Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulations were performed for 2,000,000 generations with parameter sampling every 1,000 generations. The first 1,000 samples were discarded during the burn-in phase of the MCMC analysis. The Bayesian posterior probability values are indicated beside the branches.
